Hello Rock a billy Garage:
Great web/site. I enjoyed looking at the Kustoms I had a 1948 chevy
when I was in High School in the 50's. Those were the greatest days
ever. We'd pull in to the Drive In's and order burgers and fries and turn
up the car radio real loud and blast out the sounds of Great Balls Of Fire, An't That a Shame, Rock Around The Clock, Peggy Sue, Susie-Q
Hound Dog and get out and start dancing.
We lived it, we were there when it happened there will never be another time like those days of the 50's when rock was young and
so were we. One of my greatest thrills was 47 years later inducting
jerry lee lewis into The Southern Legends Entertainment and Performing
Arts Hall of Fame in Aug 2005 in Gulf Port, MS.
Sincerely
Widmarc Clark |

Howdy, Rockabilly Garage Freaks!
Thank you for your information about your site from Hamburg/Germany. I don't know, if it's okay, but I 'll be proud, if you take a link from your site to our homepage from Behind The Eightball, the best known Rockabilly-Band in the nothern Germany area.
My old car is only a German military-jeep called Volkswagen Iltis, type 183, from the new age 1980. This car is built for the German "Bundeswehr" (=army) in the years from 1978 til 1981 (that year, as the Stray Cats climbed the charts with many songs and one of their songs, called "Built for speed", is a great tribute Hot Rod Rockabilly-Song to your site, we want to cover this song for our new CD-production in the winter 2005/2006).
Best regards and in hope that Behind The Eightball rocks someday in Russia

awesome site....love old cars and especially the Russian ones.
Not too familiar with them here in the USA.
Question for ya: I do hope one of your rockabilly cars is named
Janis Martin. She is the best rocker America has to offer from the
50's.
